a "literary" review of Hotdog Pizza

If you have some time to waste and enjoy bizarre humor, this "review" of Pizza Hut's Hot Dog Pizza might be enjoyable for you.

It (and I) in no way endorse the consumption of hot dog pizza. Bleck.

My next SAD pizza will be a slice of this. I hope it sticks around for a while. I can't believe someone hadn't thought of this before. I used to love pigs in a blanket. I also loved corn dogs. I liked beans and franks. I also liked hot dog slices in mac & cheese. All sorts of great hot dog memories. I also liked Chicago dogs and bought celery salt just to add a taste of them to regular hot dogs. This hot dog crust idea is way over due. I'm not sure when I will be consuming SAD again, I just hope this is still around. It might be a while.

I'm not a fan of carrot dogs or really anything pretending to be a meat item (or cheese). I really don't need the bun either.

On a hotdog, i like mustard, miracle whip, chopped onion, relish, chile from a can, shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese, and the obligatory ketchup. Washed down with beer. My mouth is watering as i type. Can't remember how many decades ago it's been. But right now, health takes precedence.

I can easily make a McDougall version of this with carrot dogs. The low fat veggie dogs and Seiten bacon could really match the original intent w/o the grease, though

If you left the hotdog off, how would you know?

I don't mind the occasional hotdog with my condiments. :D

JohnLarson - hot dogs in mac n cheese used to be a staple for me! I forgot about that.

I suppose on the one hand, this is brilliant food-appeal engineering. On the other hand, so unhealthy. Not personally interested in the food, but I laughed at the story.
