I have only had one place refuse, the supposedly "best" restaurant in Truth or Consequences, NM, and Italian place. Chef refused to cook me pasta without oil in the water because he was sure I would not like it! So we walked.

I wasn't sure about the lasagne, where it seems to be integral to it. I was a bit surprised to see so many dishes contain it, because I don't think I've ever seen any at the ASW buffets.

Sounds like they should have called the town Truth or Dare, NM.

Thanks,

Mark

Don't think I have ever seen lasagne without built in cheese except for home made by one of "us"

And I left out the Mexican restaurant fiasco where we went after the Italian place. "The best" in town HAH! Tortillas, side order requested "steamed or dry sautéed, no oil or butter etc please" came nicely wrapped in foil which when opened revealed at least an 1/8 inch deep pool of oil glistening on top. Wife's chicken "enchiladas" (she eats some meat) were a couple tortillas flat on top of each other, on top of that a small cube of um, something white, some grated cheese like substance, all swimming in what she said tasted like hot catsup. And it smelled a bit like what you might find at the bottom of a dumpster, on a hot day. We walked out of there as well without paying of course. Went to Walmart, Yeah! Open until 8, and got sweet potatoes and plain corn tortillas and made a feast in our motel room at the hot springs. Nice hot springs but I won't ever go back to that little town. Barely worth driving through without stopping.
