I also find it hilarious that just because it is the most heavily used agricultural chemical it stands apart from less frequently used products that are just as dangerous. At one time DDT was the most commonly-used pesticide. If we used that kind of thinking we'd have never banned the stuff.

Maybe it's just me, but when there is likely over a trillion dollars at stake, I tend to be rather suspicious. In a world where ghetto toughs will murder you for your new basketball shoes, I shudder to think what Monsanto executives might stoop to in order to protect thier lock on our food supply. Bribery of polititians, journalists, regulators and scientists is only the tip of the iceberg. Now that most GMO plants have contminated neighboring fields, they could financially ruin anyone that hasn't paid for seed. Those environmental activists who can't be bought off had better watch thier backs!

The way corporations run the world is quite scary altho I still worry more about overpopulation and nuclear wars. By living in cities, our exposure to chemicals go up every year and it is an interesting experiment. Bought some non organic corn tortillas (60 count) from costco today so hopefully this corn is safe :

I am curious how restaurants are able to ban gmo if there is no gmo labelling. It is hard to get rid of gmo if there is no gmo labelling.
