Hey Garbanzo!

Again, posting for 4.

JuJuBee in CA did 400 minutes, mostly outdoor walking.

The other three of us did 540 minutes of daily evening walking.

DS13 did 60 minutes of horseback riding.

400 + 540 + 60 = 1000 minutes TOTAL

Hi Garbanzo - I was traveling last week and forgot to post!! Anyway, I'm still traveling, but getting in plenty of walking. I'm going to say that I walked 60 minutes per day in NY, it is probably more than that on most days. So for the week, 420 minutes. Take care, walk on, LauraA

My husband and I went on vacation for our 26 anniversary and we hiked 4 miles and walked along the beach. About 10 miles altogether on trip then walked today about 5 miles. So all together 15 miles.

I’m still doing well. Had mom send me another pair of shoes in a care package I picked up yesterday. Plus I’m resupplied with McDougall cookies. Yea! I’ve not yet seen any scorpions but I’ve been taking the time to shake out my boots and pants before I put them on when I camp out. Here are a couple of pics of an amazing rock bridge I passed yesterday. Hope everyone is having a great week.

I’m still plugging along. Talking to the hawks that seem to be following me. I suspect they are hoping I’ll flush out some rabbits or other critters as I walk along and provide them with a good lunch. I’ve been eating a lot of canned fat free refried beans mixed with green onions on top of fat free rye crisp. I don’t usually like to carry canned food when I’m hiking but I bought three cans of beans in Richfield on Saturday night. Ate one can that night and packed the other two along with me. Polished the last of it off this morning. Good grub. Now I’m back to dehydrated fat free vegan soups/rice pilaf/couscous/oats. Here are a few more snaps from the past couple of days.

Reminder: Please post your exercise minutes/miles tomorrow, Thursday. Thanks.

I’m in Nevada! Just one more state to go. The walk is going well. Despite the 7000 foot elevation I’m comfortable hiking without my jacket most of the day. I do get chilled & put on a jacket if I stop for a break. The highlight of my trip yesterday was the Ward Charcoal Ovens. Here are some photos. :)

Hey G!

You're doing pretty well. Is this the high desert? Even driving there it seems to go on forever. Watch out for those Hot Springs! I heard they'll melt your skin off. I had to go to the East Bay on Friday and treated myself to a long run after dark when I got back to the City, so the mileage is a bit higher than it's been. Just as well. I've always felt that the sooner you can get past Nevada, the better, although I did enjoy seeing the big "BM" on that brown hill next to Battle Mountain. The Sierra Nevada are going to feel like a breath of fresh air. Enjoy it!:

starting 11/12
Thursday pier 39 up stockton over columbus - 31.5 minutes
Friday - to Fort Point and back - 120 minutes; OK less than 12 miles, but still that's not that bad. I did it about 18 months ago and it was at least 30 minutes longer.
Saturday - nothing
Sunday - Swim - 50 laps no rest stops - 38 minutes.
Monday - pier39 up Stockton down Grant/Columbus to pyramid - 32.5 minutes
Tuesday - C2 10K - 45 minutes
Wednesday - Pier 37 -northpoint (they're setting up a new movie for filming, Universal trailers, anybody know anything about it?)-Stockton-Grant 29.5 minutes

total - 296.5 minutes

Thu: 60 min sweeping leaves and bagging
Fri: none
Sat: brisk 40 min walk
Sun: none
Mon: 30 min job coaching; 15 min weight lifting; 30 min housecleaning and dancing like a dork!
Tues: 60 min walking with several uphill parts
Wed: 60 min job coaching; 20 min weights and isometrics

315 min total

This week's goal: move my body EVERY day. No more of this "none"
