Link to One Portion of the article, "Is a Hamburger as Bad as a Hummer? (It's a start! ):

"Meat production causes more environmental harm than any other food."

Interesting article....Good to a point! At least it said that meat was the most environmentally destructive food -- or something like that.

However, they only discussed carbon dioxide. They did NOT mention menthane and the other green house gases produced by livestock (unless I missed it). These gases, as most of you know, are far more potent than carbon dioxide at causing global warming.

A thunder storm is brewing so I gotta shut down and unplug my computer!

Gotta run!

Happy McDougalling!

One of my favorite articles on the subject of vegetarianism and the environment:

Vegetarianism is the New Prius - although I wish it had said Veganism

The reason I used the word vegetarian instead of vegan in my other post is that the word vegan unfortunately still carries too much of a stigma. People are turned off by the word, while they may be more open to vegetarian. Vegan is still too "extreme" for most people.

I think the author of the article you linked to is doing the same thing.
