:D Ok, here goes. I'm starting this journal to try to keep myself more accountable and to report my progress. Anyone, feel free to jump in at any time.

I've been sticking to the Plan pretty well food wise. I'm still drinking some coffee in the mornings: I'm drinking half regular and half decaf and trying to get off the caffeine. I've switched to McD gradually, used up the rest of the butter; I've given the oil up too. I feel better but there's still one thing I need to get rid of and that's Friday night beer. I usually have 4 or 5. I know this is why my weight hasn't dropped much. I don't drink at home; it's usually in a social setting, and I'm stuggling with giving it up. Old habits die hard. :( It's one way I use to relieve stress too. I'm unemployed right now; my company reorganized and I was let go.

So far today I've had two cups of coffee, a whole wheat tortilla filled with rice and beans w/taco sauce, a few bites of broccoli and potato.

The weight is not coming off. I have had a couple slips in the past week, but, otherwise, I'm not doing too badly. I know I've got to get back into exercising, at least, using my treadmill, and start MOVING more! I've searched the board to see what the most successful people here (weightloss-wise) are eating and I took notes on their menus. I think I need to lean a little heavier on vegetables, so I'm incorporating more of them in my food plan.

I've had my brown rice, raw oats, and Grape Nut combo with a sliced banana and a little soy milk for breakfast. So delicious! I'm determined not to skip breakfast no matter what, one thing I've been skipping, not good. I'll have some bean stew chocked full of vegetables for lunch; then, a vegetable stir-fry over brown rice for dinner tonight.

Had a small slip and had some cheese last night, but I'm back eating clean today. After almost two months, the slips should be gone. Oh well, I'm putting it in the past and leaving it there.

Fresh salad and brown rice stir-fry tonight for dinner. Going to have a cup of bean soup for snack in a bit.

Skipping meals and not having snacks has been my issue and I've got to do better. As someone said here, don't let yourself get hungry.

Just watched "The Pleasure Trap" segment on the VHS site and it explained so much!
