I'm back to the forum after neglecting it for a while. Over the months, I've lost and gained the same five or so pounds. More importantly, I discovered that I experience some allergy symptoms when I eat wheat. I tried diets similar to McDougall and kept at them for a few days or week (or two at the most) until the novelty wore off.
This morning, I was running late and only had time to toast a bagel, of which I ate less than half. No wonder I'm craving the vegan cookies they sell at the bookstore at work. I gave up coffee about two weeks ago and replaced it with green tea, but I still miss the coffee, too.
I just want to feel healthier. My fortieth birthday is in September, and I want to feel better than I do now. Looking better wouldn't hurt, either.
