Oooh Isis was a good-natured Egyptian Goddess. Tell your kitten that and maybe he'll start behaving himself. Otherwise, what is he doing with the nips? If he's just playing with them, or chewing on them, maybe gettinghim one of his own to play with would help. Even rub a little catnip on it to let him know it's his. If not, I guess find another play to put them that's not accessable to the cat (maybe in the cubbard?).
And I've never heard of either spiniach or pesnut butter leaching calcium. Do they make your blood too acidic, like animal protein would? I guess, to be safe, start eating up your broccoli until you're sure.
