I knew that it would hit triple digit temperature here today. So, I started my 8 mile run at 7:30 in the morning. It was still hot though.

Tomorrow it might cool down a little. Either way, I plan on running at or before 7 am tomorrow.

Autumn can't come soon enough for those of us east of the Mississippi. :D

Did more swimming and walking today. I just wish we would have temps in the 80's for a little bit. Today was almost there.

Took yesterday off after ten days straight of training. Nap time! Now out the door for a two hour bike ride with 45 min of steady climbing in the heat. I never measure miles or speed, only heart rate and total time.

Feeling sick today; still managed my weights workout, but no significant amount of walking.

ugh, my whole schedule is off! I am moving, as into another home. I probably won't get to the gym for another week or so. I will sneak in several walks though.

After taking Monday off from exercise to get over a cold, today (Tuesday) I ran about eight miles and did my usual stretches and crunches. Also walked about 1 1/2 miles.

I have been biking with the dog most mornings, which is fun, and swimming in the afternoon. Today I started to add some intervals to my swimming, doing a fast crawl in between the breast stroke. I don't have a waterproof watch so just count - couldn't do a full minute, just 30 second bursts. But since I haven't done the crawl for a year - got lazy - I was pleased to take that first step (or stroke) to get back into it.

Today I did 30 minutes of stair climbing and one set of eight dumbbell exercises. Also walked about 3-4 miles.

Yesterday I ran about 8 1/2 miles in two segments, did my usual stretches and crunches, and two sets of eight dumbbell exercises. Also walked about two miles. Today's my off day for exercise.

Today I ran a 5K race, which I blogged about here. Also jogged about three miles to the starting line, and did stretches and two sets of eight dumbbell exercises.

Putting the finishing touches on accumulating real fatigue today, then taper and rest up for a big mountain bike race on Sunday. 100Ks in Tahoe!
