I have been doing excellent on eating, and sticking with the plan. I have felt alot better, lost now about 12 pounds. Then came last night. My son was eating a pop tart, and I decided one pop tart wouldn't hurt me.....oh boy was I wrong.......the scale showed a 1 pound gain this morning, and I was up all night with running to the bathroom.....got no sleep and this morning....I pinched myself and said no more, never again. I had oatmeal for breakfast and black eye peas and potatoes for lunch. The tummy is feeling better already. Nothing like being set straight quick......

People here call that "McDougall's Revenge," and actually, you're lucky that you had it so you didn't slide down the slippery slope of falling all the way off plan for good! Congratulations for learning your lesson and getting right back on track! I think that's called getting "scared straight!" :)

I must admit, I haven't been eating so well. Not really eating to much, or the wrong foods, just no appetite at all. I think it is because I am watching my 5 month old grandson everyday from 6 in the morning until 6 at night, and I'm just tired. I don't even feel like eating veggies or potatoes. I'm sure once my body gets used to these hours, I'll do better. Haven't weighed since losing the 12 pounds, but I think I'm ok still.

It seems you are going through a big change now, I4mad. I hope that as you adjust to taking care of baby that you will feel better enjoy eating your veggies and starches again.

Enjoy the baby! :-D

You can I guess thank the pop tart....Some do not come back to the diet so quick I am sure as you have.
I know me one pop tart is not enough.
Read once that "you never get enough of what you don't want"

Read it a few times you get it....it true for me...if I reach for the "pop tart" I'll want more then one...so sometimes this little saying helps....
Thanks for sharing your life...helps us all.
