Figured I'd start a new thread for a new month. Today I did one set of weights (10 reps each of 8 dumbbell exercises). Also walked about 3 1/2 miles.

The Olympics start July 27! Great motivation for everyone to work out, I say!

Yesterday I ran 5 miles in the morning and another 5 miles in the evening. First time I have ever run twice in the same day.

Today I ran 4 miles. It's just so hot outside in the afternoon.

Today I ran twice as well, though with just a short break in between as a friend was joining me for the second segment. 8 1/2 miles total. Also did my usual stretches and crunches.

I worked out with weights for an hour in the gym. I love the feeling afterwords. Your whole body feels so bouncy and tight. I also went for a couple of long walks.

The exercise forum, what a scary place! You'd think so, the way I've been avoiding regular exercise. But it's summer, so I'm putting on my wetsuit and swimming in the cold ocean.

My July goal is to get a regular plan going. I've got a young border collie, so there's LOTS of walking, and a large garden keeps me moving, but I'm lacking in the weight training and stretching departments.

Today I did 30 minutes of stair climbing, one set of weights, and my usual stretches and crunches.

Rode the bike really fast down a 2-mile dirt road with my dog, she still outpaced me! Swam for half an hour, and hauled seaweed (heavy lifting!).

Tueday July 3 - walk for 40
Wednesday July 4-walk for 50 and garden for 30

Today I ran about six miles and did my usual stretches and crunches.

While the rest of the country is suffering from the heat wave, I guess I shouldn't brag that it was very pleasant here in San Francisco: Sunny and in the lower 60s. Perfect weather for outdoor exercise. :-D

Well yesterday July 5th - it was 99 when I got home. I did go on a slow 30 minute walk. That is all I could take.

I think today July 6th will be an off day. It's suppose to be 102 out there.

Today I ran about 8 miles, walked about 1 1/2 miles, and did stretches and crunches but only one set rather than my usual two. Very tired today; glad tomorrow is an off day for exercise.
