If you have protein such as beans with your meals you will not get hungry as fast as if you have carbs alone. With the appetite that you are describing it could be that you need more protein.

When I eat more greens I am more satisfied and since they have more protein than starches, maybe I really need more protein.
You don't need to worry about getting enough protein! (See Chapter 7 of
The Starch Solution for more info.) If you are getting enough calories, you will automatically be getting enough protein too. Our total daily requirement is just 20-30 grams and you will get that much easily on this diet.
If you're not satisfied, then look at how much starch you're eating, because as Dr McDougall explains in his book, starch is what satisfies our hunger.
As for the idea that "if you have protein such as beans with your meals you will not get hungry as fast as if you have carbs alone..." it's just not possible to eat "carbs alone" (unless you're eating plain sugar). Starchy foods like potatoes, sweet potatoes, whole grains, pumpkins and winter squashes, are all made up of carbohydrates
and protein. When you eat starch/carbohydrates you're already eating protein too!
