A diced apple or pear (cooked with the oatmeal to sweeten it) and a sprinkle of cinnamon. No need to add sugar :D

I LOVE oatmeal and particularly steel cut (texture) I always add cinnamon and fruit with favorites being mango, banana or blueberries.

Enjoy your oats!

oatmeal, equal parts water, frozen fruit, 1/3 can pumpkin and leave it sit in the fridge overnight. In the morning I add a big handfull of kale, as I always have a big container of massaged kale (kale and lemon/lime juice) in the fridge. I like to eat it cold, sometimes I will add apple pie or pumpkin pie spice but not too often.

I cook 1 c rolled oats in bowl covered by 1/2 inch with water in microwave one minute. Top with real ( not cassia) cinnamon and berries. Plus ground flax. This morning I added some pieces of collard on top and cooked 2 minutes . Needed a bigger bowl for that. On half my bowl I then sprinkled turmeric, black pepper, and nutritional yeast and 2 walnut haves, broken up. The savory half was just as delicious, and I think greens are filling for longer, though this was very little and may not matter much. No milk.

My super-ultra-lazy approach to oatmeal:

Two handfuls of rolled oats, toss in some chopped dried dates, dried cranberries, chia seeds, ground flax seeds, almond milk. Amounts are really nonspecific, to taste. Let this mixture sit a bit as the almond milk soaks in. Result is a slightly creamy yet chewy mixture w/o the pastiness of cooked oatmeal some object to. Depending on your health issues, consider the impact of the sugar in the dried fruits. Since there is no cooking, you can toss this together, walk away, do other things and when you come back, it's ready for you.

Munch on in rosey-cheeked glowing good health.

A little maple syrup.
Banana and strawberries.
Blueberries.
Cranberries.
Apples.
Really any fruit that you like and will eat.

I add frozen fruit of my choice (usually peaches and cherries) or fresh fruit (usually chopped apple) to old fashioned oats. Add water. Nuke 4 min. Add cinnamon and a little maple syrup and enjoy.

I do the exact same thing w/ sweet taters, only those get nuked alone first -- 10-12 min. depending on size. Then I add the fruit, nuke 4 min., and add cinnamon and m. syrup.

One part old fashion regular oatmeal, 2 part water, nuke it for a min then pause for few seconds, nuke it again for another minute, this is so that it doesn't boil off and gets thrown inside microwave. Cut up banana in small pieces, few blue frozen blue berries, 4-5 raisins, few walnuts cut up in small pieces, 1 tbsp flax seed...mix it all together and down it goes. Tastes very yummy!!! I did not like oatmeal before...now I can eat it too much.

I use a 4-cup Pyrex measuring cup for my oatmeal and use 1 cup water, 1/2 cup old fashioned oats, plus the fruit. I can nuke it on High in my high-powered microwave for 2 minutes and and it comes out perfect with no boil-over.

I love my oatmeal! 3/4 cup dry old fashioned oats in the bowl, pour in 1 1/2 cups boiling water, sprinkle on some cinnamon and a tbsp chopped walnuts or flaxseed, slice a banana or add a handful of blueberries, and then eat it when all the water is absorbed.
