This is very inspirational to see! I lost a lot of weight with Weight Watchers years ago, but it was really challenging to maintain. I've been strictly vegan for almost three years now, but not really 100% healthy eating all the time.

Going to Weight Watchers week after week as a vegan was a major challenge for me, because they'd talk about the meat-and-dairy constantly, and there's only so many times you can internally censor to "tofu" and "soy milk" until it starts to get ridiculous.

One of the great things about McDougall's program is that it's designed for life, very flexible, and aside from a book or two here and there, he's not trying to push products. Plus, everything's based on science - without any fiscal motivation behind it. Sure, the folks behind the SAD diet have a crazy amount of money to spend on "studies" and "research"; but if someone's paying a scientist to come to a particular conclusion, they'll find a way.

I've been shocked over the years at the visible war (marketing and advertising), but also the behind-the-scenes stuff that goes on with heavy lobbying backed by an unfathomable supply of money. The part that upsets me, personally, is the fact that I can choose what I eat; but oftentimes the kids in school can't, unless they pack a lunch. And the limitations on WIC? That's really scary.

Keep up the great work! One of these days, I need to find a pretty signature progress bar like you have - but maybe something a little masculine for me? Maybe a blue butterfly? :D

Oh and get some Aloe for that burn....yikes

Thanks Christine. Lately I seem to be on a plateau but I'm still seeing body changes even with the plat.

Yeah we went and got pure aloe vera as soon as we realized we were turning read. I'm ust amazed because they aren't hurting hardly at all on either of us.

Rosey, you look great!!! And so happy, smilin' in that purpley dress :-D

Is your lack of footwear Earthing to keep the inflammation at bay? I saw your post about that over by Michelle's way, I think. Gotta give it a try!

It is a gorgeous day. I'm outside at moment resting well hubby runs up to house from garden to grab extra piece of fencing we are hoping it's a big enough piece that we don't have to by more.

I started going barefoot back in july. Just learned about earthing but have noticed since going barefoot I don't get inflamed/bloated as much. And since I found out about earthing I've been making sure to touch it more and it ish helping a ton.

Thanks for the complimentd too.

Opps that should of been is not ish.

As for Earthing it is connecting with the earth. the Earth puts off a negative energy that grounds us. Like the grounds on our electrical outlets sorta. If I can find the video again I'll post it on fast book they explain it better then I do. laugh. It helps get rid of inflammation which is bloating.

I don't go barefoot much due to my arch and ankles, but may have to see the video when you post it too.
