I hope you are feeling better.
Each day this thing changes. I just wish this incessant cough would stop for a few hours so I can get uninterrupted sleep! I couldn't sleep the whole time hubby had this flu and he's already finished his second week, out sick 8 of the past 10 work days, and will try to head in again tomorrow. I'm 6 days behind him so have a long way to go before I feel better again. I had something similar back in early winter and it lasted 10 weeks, the only difference being no fever. Everything else is the same.
The doc is as frustrated as I am, especially since I *had* the flu shot, and have been less stressed this winter, thanks to the aunt we used to care for now being in a nursing home and getting the care she needs.
I used the food processor to mix and added the liquid type ingredient after. And they held together beautifully.
In the other recipe of Jeff's that I got, his SNAP burgers, he called for defrosted frozen mixed vegetables. I tried that one first without the food processor and they fell apart, but subsequent batches I pulsed up and they came out much better.
And they were to be refrigerated overnight, not just a few minutes like he says to do these. These new burgers I put together and put them right on the griddle on the stove and they not only were firm but held together beautifully with no chilling.
I think the trick is not to over food process and of course following Jeff's suggestions of what ingredients and amounts.
I noticed in the video the girls were using HEAPING spoons of tomato products and the mixture was coming out so wet he had to add more oats. Eventually he took over adding the tomatoes himself and left them to the mixing. Eh, they're just kids - kids that love MORE GARLIC.
