Hey Jeff,
Just received your new DVD. I really like it but I can not find the file to print the recipes. Do I have to download them first?
Confused,
Karen

Put the DVD in a computer, and go to the main menu, you will see a link for the recipe file download.

You can also find it by looking at either "Finder" on a Mac or "Explorer" on a PC and looking at the content files of whats on the DVD.

:)

In Health
Jeff

Mine arrived yesterday. I plan to order the rest of the DVDs whenever they become available. I like to "see" the food prepared. Also, Jeff, I often go back to your facebook pictures for meal-making inspiration. Great stuff.

Fast Food Burgers and Fries is my favorite. How great it is going to make burgers for picnics. I can see why someone would triple the batch. Thumbs up, bottom boom:) The girls are precious as are the Mothra twins:) This DVD, should be a big hit in Japan. I know my granddaughters and grandsons are going to love it.

Mahalo again and again.. patty

Ah, Patty, one can tell you're not from Jersey or a fan of The Sopranos!

"Badda bing, badda boom" is an expression usually used to mean something like - "There you go, job's done" and was first uttered, I *think*, by Joe Pesci in some gangster movie after a hit, so now it's closely associated with that culture. It's the verbal equivalent of the old "drum roll, rim shot" from the vaudeville days. It's such a part of the modern day Italian heritage now that for the TV show The Sopranos, a club called the Satin Dolls (Rt 17 South in Lodi, a short hop from Paramus Park Mall and 15 minutes from Trader Joe's) was converted to Tony Soprano's hangout, the Badda Bing Club.

Mahalo for clarifying:) And you are correct I am totally unfamiliar with the expression. And I haven't watched the Soprano's series. Many years ago I had a friend from New Jersey, and she had honked her horn at someone.. and thought it was funny as another car passing her asked her "How's your lights". In the islands at that time no one ever honked their horn. I will have to check Netflix or Blockbusters for the Sopranos as I don't have cable TV. I like the Badda bing, badda boom" expression.

The video is great to listen to while making the burgers. I am curious about the fries, and will try them some time in the future.. as for now I will be eating burgers for awhile and they are filling enough. I did use my food processor with some of the ingredients and they held together perfectly. Yesterday I had them for lunch and dinner... totally filling. The day before I purchased a mushroom burger from our raw deli and it's too bad they are raw because I would give them Jeff's video. His are so good. Hopefully our Whole Foods will make them and carry his DVDs. I will have to check and if not request it as it will be a great give away. Jeff has a gift for tackling our insanity with food that is so intact within our culture and taking to the epitome of extreme simplicity.

Well Mahalo again, VeggieSue and Badda bing, badda boom. I am so happy to have the DVD and will getting more to be gifting it. A great way to share the How of this WOE.

Aloha, patty

Patty, somehow I don't think the Sopranos is your kind of entertainment.

OH! Thanks, Veggie Sue, for figuring this out! Patty, I was going to ask you what "bottom boom" meant--I thought it was some island-speak and I had no idea--maybe slapping someone on the bottom as a "low five?"   I'm going to be chuckling at myself all day now, for the image that made in my mind! ;)

No, I bet I would enjoy the Sopranos.. I have been staying away from the vampire movies:) I have netflix and hulu, no cable. I would love to see Jeff with the Nelson girls put on a whole educational show for young people. Dr. McDougall's "Digestion Tune-Up" was so very well done in the way it was written.

Yesterday I made four batches of burgers. My daughter and one of her son's came over and they each had a burger. My grandson is able to make sushi with a mold, so I am sure the burgers are going to a snap. It amazes me how tasty and how easy they are to make. My daughter's in-laws, who they live with, are going to Dr. Shintani's program for the second time. I wonder if Jeff has offered copies Dr. Shintani to sell. One of the fast food chains in the Islands sells Dr. Shintani's chili. I am going to give a copy of Burger and Fries to someone who operates a fast food place. I just think they are fantastic. The ripple effect is happening:)

Aloha, patty

Oh.. frozenveg.. at first I thought they are saying "Bottom Moon".... too funny!

Maybe. You do know that Tony Soprano does not reference the Dalai Lama much, right? I watched a few after a coworker kept raving about it. As popular as it was, I think it takes certain perverse fascination to get much out of it. Did you like Goodfellas and the Godfather movies?

It just seems to me like something you would find as repulsive as watching the Bob's Big Boy buffet table. I found myself getting bored with it quickly. Of course, I grew up in New Jersey.

When my children were growing up I learned if I wanted to know what was going on with them, to listen to their music and watch the films they enjoyed. Because then I would be able to intervene with my perspective etc. And for myself, I had a Spiritual Teacher, Patricia Sun who shared maybe in Africa it is the sticks or in China it is the stones but in this country it is the movies that take you to that next place. She suggested to live your life like a metaphor. And understanding it is only the ego that can harm someone or help someone movies have helped me be objective when coming from a subjective place. Maybe that is why I grasped on to Jeff's _Calorie Density_ message and had to order his second DVD on nuts because in practicing ETL I became addicted to recipes with nuts, and then nuts themselves. And my main addiction if the fat/oil. I even let go of tofu. I am now just understanding the perspective of a condiment. And have no guilt in letting nuts/fat go.

I love the Italian gangster films:) I learned to pray for someone by shooting them with Love. And I am sure Italian gangster films helped me accept the violence within myself. When I went into AA I thought I was turning myself into Honolulu police as I thought that is what they meant with HP. If I thought I was going to get these free parking spaces.

They say we hold all our anger in our mouths. That is why the computer helps so much along with being starch centered. I probably edit and delete more then the average person. As a child I must have suffered a stroke because now I am very aware how right brain I have always been. Today I still have a speech impediment. Growing up I had no problem swearing.. interesting all the swear words are about the body.

I forget in which book it was, His Holiness the Dalai Lama shared to a Chinese Journalist that the air rifle he had in his bedroom, was in the morning, to shoot at the larger birds In the garden, to scare them away, so the little birds could eat. I am sure he would fit into your neighborhood:)

I am loving those burger sliders:) they slide you into another universe. Jeff is amazing.

Aloha, patty
