I have a huge bowl of oatmeal, a banana and a few strawberries if there are any in the fridge. I do use some sweetener, a stevia-brown sugar blend, haven't been able to give that up yet but I try not to use too much. I look forward to breakfast every morning and it's usually the first thing I think about when I wake up!

All your b~fast look good! I used to have oats years ago, but I mixed it with those liqiud fake eggs  those were my protein years, but I do remember being satisfied
Ok it looks like I gotta go get some oats, and maybe some oat~bran too?! Might that be more fiberful? Even though it will be my first 'grain' in a lonnng time... I guess as long as it's the gluten free kind :-D
I have this weird acid/alkaline war going on in my head too...haha. But I guess I should stop worrying but that!!!

Unless eating wheat is a problem...I'll add wheat bran (vs oat bran) for extra fiber...wheat bran is about 1/4 the calories

Cheers

Rice and veggies usually. I make a big pot of rice and just add some frozen veggies to the top and nuke when I get to work.

If I have a leftover baked russet in the fridge, I will warm that up in the micro.

Or hash browns.

But usually the rice/veggies.

When I asked Dr. McDougall through this forum what he typically eats his breakfast response was hash browns and oatmeal. I've had that and it is very satisfying although my breakfast is typically a banana and oatmeal.

I have oatmeal with blueberries and cinammon. I soak the oats overnight with the blueberries and heat it the next morning.
I actually look forward to it when I get up :) and I never tire of eating it. Keeps me going until lunchtime as well.

Nordgirl, is that salsa cooked or raw? Tomatoes chopped or processed?

All raw, just chuck it in the blender and press the on button.

I just started this breakfast and I'm really liking it. It's a variation of Rip Esselstyn's. He showed how to make his breakfast to a couple on a "Kitchen Rescue" documentary that I saw on Netflix.

It's a cold cereal/fruit mix.

Bottom of the bowl:

shredded wheat/bran squares (whole grain, plain)
Grape Nuts
old fashioned oats (instant oats are too processed)

Add fruit:
frozen organic blueberries (nuked)
chopped organic strawberries
chopped banana
chopped mango if ripe

Pour almond milk over it and sprinkle cinnamon. Very yummy!

Rip has kiwi instead of strawberry and also adds bran flakes.

I've seen him make this on tv and it looks really good. I believe he said he and his fellow firemen made this their standard breakfast when he worked as a fireman.

I like oatmeal, potatoes or tofu scramble with onions and peppers - but I don't like it first thing in the morning, I'm not hungry for a couple of hours, at least after I wake up. As it starts to heat up here, I'll probably move to fruit smoothies more often as they are lighter.

I usually have a bowl of oatmeal made with water with frozen berries on top. Yum!
