Here is the video of him on Ellen warning that "carbs convert to sugar in the body and the main thing is to keep the sugar levels down."
Really? That is the main thing?
I realize that he also said a plant-based diet is a good thing to do and its healthier etc but I too hope that in time he will become an even better spokesperson for a plant-based diet and not cause fear/confusion about carbohydrates. IMO if he wanted to warn people about vegans getting into trouble he could have said something about oil which is worse for your heart than processed carbs.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... ds-newsxmlYes, I sort of cringed too when he said that "carbs convert to sugar" thing.
However, I don't mind that he doesn't speak eloquently about his plant based diet. I think that if he tried to do the hard sell, it would backfire. I also like that he just goes on with his life, and that he eats plants without making it his main focus. That may show others that one can adopt a plant based diet and it doesn't have to consume their lives.
All I have to do is look at how he looks now, compared to how he looked before, and realize that he changed his appearance just by eating whole plant food. Wow.
