Hope you got a chance to check out the current newsletter. Mary was kind enough to feature some recipes from my new book. I was researching Vitamin D and of course turned to my trusted source, Dr. McDougall for info. I really should get back writing my next book due to the publisher soon, but I started looking at all the topics and fondly remembered how much time I used to spend here.
It wasn't that long ago when I was trying to lose 25 pounds. I eventually did using Mary's Mini. I read that some of you are struggling, and I would encourage you to make sweet potatoes your "starch." I taught cooking classes before my book came out, and I found that if you stick to the program, it works. I had a woman lose 120 pounds in 8 months never counting calories and loving the food. (The newspaper did a story with her before and after pix...on my Facebook book page.)
I've also found, as a certified personal trainer and running coach, what people say they eat, and what they write down in an honest food log, can be two different things. Different things work for different people at different times. If you are doing anything athletic, for example, the calories and nutrients needed and burned are different than at couch potato level.
I really do miss being on this board. But duty calls...and just wanted to give a shout out to the good folks here. I either need more time in the day or several clones. My kindergarten teacher wrote, "She dawdles in her milk." Some things never change, except the kind of milk.
Keep up the great work!
