The way it was explained there is something wrong with the bile duct system. It may not have been the gall bladder but it took the punishment while it was there and failed. It didn't look good the surgeon said. But now that it is gone whatever was making me sick is still there and its still making me sick. But there is nothing they can do so.
I got my MWL book out and have started making recipes from it to eat. I'm hoping for after two months I will feel better and convince my husband this is the way we need to eat.
Thanks for the input!

This reminded me of my gramma's story. She had her gallbladder out twice. I guess the first time they left part

or something, and she kept having problems so they had to go in and finish the job. This was probably 50 some years ago.
Hope they didn't leave a sponge or drop a pair of tweezers in there and not tell her.

Crazy things can happen in surgery.
Cleaning up your diet will almost certainly help your digestive system.
After I had my gallbladder out (I think that was in '86. I was only around 25.), I slept with a pillow over my stomach for several months. Even years after, I'd occasionally feel a twinge or pinching sensation where they cut through the muscle in my abdomen. I have a pretty long scar, and several times over the years medical personnel have asked me what it was from. They don't do those wide open gallbladder surgeries so much any more, I guess. People I know who've had to have gallbladder surgery since then have all had the laser procedure. Lucky ducks.
