I'm still floundering a bit trying to get straight what is ok on this plan and I've got to go to Manchester for a shopping trip with a friend on Saturday. I don't know the city well and am worrying about dinner out. I was thinking about suggesting a subway as I could get a plain salad on a roll, hoping they must do some kind of wholemeal roll. I'm not doing the maximum weightloss plan, can anyone advise me if that's a good choice.
Thanks for any help whilst I just get going.
Assuming this is the same chain as we have here in the US, yes, it's okay once in a while. They offer a veggie option, called Veggie Delite. As I dislike the peppers and stuff, I just get mine with lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers. My husband gets his with all the vegetables offered. When he goes in to order, he makes sure they put extra stuff on mine, otherwise all I would get is a pitiful amount, as they seem to be taught only one way to make the sandwich, the meaty way. Sigh. They do offer a whole wheat (your wholemeal I think) option. Neither of us would get the one with the veggie burger on it.
