What a great deal! I think you're going to love it!
I recommend you treat yourself to Lorna Sass's "Vegetarian Cooking Under Pressure". It's an excellent cookbook and most recipes are easily mcdougalized.
Here are more recipes to check out: http://fatfreevegan.com/blog/category/pressure-cooker/

Hahaha, not quite the type of recipe you're looking for, but I just looked up to find my cat climbing into my pressure cooker!
I've tried disciplining her to stay off the the stove and counter but you know how they are!

I make risotto in the pressure cooker - the original recipe probably came from Lorna Sass - it only takes minutes to cook the rice, then I stir in lots of veggies. I did have to experiment a bit with the timing for my stove, but well worth it. A quick and very rich tasting meal.

Yes, "Vegetarian Cooking Under Pressure" is a great cookbook - I don't do a lot of involved recipes in our pressure cooker, but once you start cooking chick peas, other beans from dry in a pressure cooker, you'll never want canned again! Yum yum.

Our experiments are mixed so far...steamed some veggies and they were very good...attempted to cook some quick soak white beans and they weren't as good as my husbands slow cooking..did not have that "buttery taste"...still confused on the beans as I have read different times with both soaking and not soaking..but will still keep trying as the quickness of everything and the one pot idea intrigues my husband who is not a cook...except for his slow cooker beans...hopefully we can add some variety to his accomplishments..

Just now cooking brown beans in my pressure cooker (electric). I cooked 2-cups beans to 4-1/2 cups water. They could use less water, but I do not like the chance of cooking till they are "dry". I usually cook for 1-hour, but cooked these for 1 hr-10 min. Just checked them. Too hard. This is because the beans are several months old. I do not presoak, but I DO check the beans thoroughly (for stones and soil) before rinsing thoroughly. Now cooking another 50 min. Added 1/2 cup more water just in case. They should be "creamy". Then I transfer to a crockpot, so I can monitor more closely as to taste and cook so water becomes of a thicker consistency. Another favorite in the white bean category: Navy pea beans. This is a smaller white bean with more flavor, in my opinion, than White Northern beans. Takes less time in the pressure cooker - about half. I also transfer to a small crockpot and slowly cook for awhile. As an added note: I ate many beans while growing up. They were a staple (along with potatoes) in our household. They are great with greens. Today, it is a mixture of polk, spinach, kale and wild plantain. Love 'em.

I just ordered a new pressure cooker and the cookbook from Amazon.

I'm not sure if this forum is a good thing or bad thing, I'm going to go broke ordering all the stuff that people recommend! I'm still holding out on buying a Yonana though... :D
