I am under the impression that light soy milk and smoothies are not really recommended for this WOE. Fat free soy milk is the recommended product and only used in small amounts. Soybeans are higher in fat then typical beans and are not included in MWL.
I don't know that beans are required eating. I doubt that they are, most people just find them enjoyable to eat.
