It just made me think of some of the times I made a new recipe (like a soup or stew) for my family and put bread out with it, and they ate a ton of bread with added butter and hardly any of the recipe and I couldn't understand what was the matter with it - here I was having 2-3 serving of it, lol. I would get so annoyed with them all, cause usually they do enjoy the things I make ie beans, yams, salads etc. but it's a game of Russian Roulette with new recipes around here.
You are fortunate that you don't have a big family to cook for - we do a lot of separate meals here but dinner's usually on me.
