Hi giddyupgin, and thanks for visiting and for being interested. I learned of this way of eating years ago, and have been totally vegan since then except for a few months where I got the idea that I should add fish and seafood (something that I read about, I guess). Anyway, I don't struggle at all with being vegan, but I do struggles with compulsive eating once I have even a bite of a food that gives me problems. If I have nuts, for example, it's the whole bag or can. If I have bread, it is all of the loaf that is left. My other issue is that I have tons of company, travel often, and am often in restaurants where the food has more oil and salt. On top of that, I work for a month each year in an orphanage in Tanzania where there is no choice of food at all. Luckily, they serve very little meat there. Until this year, I mistakenly thought that I could have nuts in moderation - maybe on a salad in a restaurant, or a little bread from a bread basket. This didn't work out, because it lead to me having cravings later, and stopping somewhere to buy more! The good news is that my health is wonderful. My only issue is wanting to lose more weight. I plan to lose all that I need to lose this year!! It looks like you are doing great - and I'm so glad that you like the program. Take care, LauraA
