This is what I have been eating every day since 16 February, 2012:

1 cup of Irish steel-cut oats

1 sweet potato or yam (About the size of two fists)

2 bowls of rice (Small, blue Chinese bowls)

1 bowl of non-starchy green vegetables (About 500 ml)

I am not adding any oils, sweeteners or seasonings. Everything is all steamed or boiled. It seems very plain, but it keeps me filled and I enjoy it.

My exercise is mainly walking from one side of the school campus to the other side in between classes, carrying groceries to the car, and walking up and down the stairs.

I am a 5'4" male and I weigh 130 lbs. My ideal weight should be between 117 - 120 lbs., so I have about 10 pounds of fat to lose. Some people say this is too light, but it's what I've always been before 9 months ago. My body is naturally wanting to be on the lighter side. I can attest to this because at 130 lbs, I am constantly sweating in my armpit, groin, and gluteal areas even during cold weather.

Thank you for the help!

Well, I can't be certain of course, but to me it looks like you are eating way too little--that has to be way under 1000 calories. Your body is probably stalling weight loss by going into starvation mode. That's dangerous to your metabolism and health in general!

Oh, also I just noticed: you've only been doing this for about 5 days, and you don't have a ton to lose. I think you also might need to be patient.

Stick with it! :) we're here for ya!

Welcome aboard, Sabby! I think you will get the results you want but you will need to be patient!

Your diet is quite good but I would suggest that you add more of the low starch veggies to optimize your nutrition and weight loss.

Enjoy your starches and keep us posted on your progress! :-D

to little food, you need a lot more than that just to survive
Ex: this is what I do
Breakfast
1 cup cooked oatmeal
with piece of fruit

Snack : high fiber bread with sugar free jelly

Lunch
2 cups cooked and diced potatoes
1 cup of lentils over it.
1 mission carb tortilla

Snack
fruit

Dinner
2 cups cooked and diced potatoes
spinach
carrots
small salad
get that fiber in there and lots of it.
