My teen daughter and I are taking off in a little while to spend the day shopping. This always involves a trip to the food court, yuck.

So I cut up 3 cold baked potatoes and raw veggies, made my own vinegar based mustard dressing, MWL of course, and packed it into two Thermos' and ate the rest for breakfast. I am ready to stay on plan!

My weight loss doesn't look like much, but I'm losing inches like crazy. All of my clothes are looking silly, they're so baggy. :D I'm just going to buy enough to get me through for a little while, because I know what I buy today, will be too big next month...clearance racks here I come!

Well I didn't do too well with finding clothes, however my lunch was wonderful and it felt good to not cave in to eating the food court garbage. :-D

YAY re: holding out in the food court!

Re: clothes--I recommend Goodwill. I have bought 99% of my clothes there for years, but it was esp. good during my weight loss. I could go in, spend $40 and get 5-6 outfits for a nice reinforcement, but I didn't feel at ALL badly when they became too baggy. I just donated them back to Goodwill and bought more! I find designer stuff there all the time--$100-200 dresses for $7, etc. :)

Trust me on this: One day you'll wake up and realize that it no longer feels like "being strict." It just feels GOOD. :)

One of my nieces has three young kids, and wanted to stay home with her kids. She buys things at Goodwill to sell on ebay. She makes more money than at her former full time job. She also outfits her whole family, my brother and sister in law. I have to say - my brother (the absent minded professor type) has never looked better! My sister in law loves pretty clothes, and is quite trim. She looks wonderful at 68, and it is all from Goodwill. There is a senior discount day! A goodwill is opening right near me this month! Take care, LauraA
