Question: How do you know if you are thin enough?

I remember an interview with Peter Reid, a three time winner of Ironman Hawaii, about how non-triathlon friends accused him and his training partners of being "a bunch of chicks, always worried about weight and the best way to lose it". Anorexic behavior has long been known in the endurance sports world, where lighter almost always means faster. I can't lose five pounds off of my bike, but I can lose it from my body. And five fewer pounds means a lot in a race with 3,000 ft of climbing.
