Sometimes I like Dr. Oz (like when he had Essy and Dr. Campbell on), sometimes he follows the latest fads....

When the heck are YOU getting booked on there to talk some sense into people?

Anyway, just watching an episode with my wife -- and they are mentioning this new "wonder supplement" raspberry ketones, which claim to shrink fat cells.

I told her 30 days on McDougall would give her greater results. Give me some sense to work with here, Jeff.

Well....

First, I do not recommend listening to these shows and/or debating/discussing any of the health information on it. Over 90% of it is wrong and powered by marketing and advertising. Being discussed on a tv show, or through the mass media is not a reliable identifier of credible information. While they may get it right once or twice, so does a broken clock but we don't consider a broken clock a reliable source of time

However, in regard to your question
