Thanks Kitty! That was the first time (I think) I've run into a fully-on-board low carber. Mostly I run into people who think it's healthier to cut back on carbs. It just makes me sad since I know what they're doing to their bodies.
So things are going well with me. I've had a chest infection for a while, and I think *fingers crossed* that it's finally cleared up. I jst have something lingering in my throat which I think is the common cold.
Well I've been 100% on board, but I have been drinking tea w/ sugar and almond milk. I'm going to cut back on that now, and drink green tea if I want something hot. I'm replacing the white sugar with fruit, so I'm starting to include more of that.
As for my hair falling out, turns out it was just some bad scalp problems which are not being resolved by a new shampoo. It also might have been stress. It wasn't much *fingers crossed* that was falling out anyway. If I style my hair with gel, a hair or two might come out is all. Which is just natural. Hair dies and falls out, it happens.
I like green tea, it makes me feel good, and it doesn't *fingers crossed* make me too anxious. I can also drink it plain without adding anything.
Lately I've just been eating good 'ol rice and beans. I'm experimenting with the recipe so the veggies aren't too overcooked, but I'm not too worried. I have my menus planned out now that I only cook 3 times a week, which is very good for me! I've also been making my quinoa "tabbouleh" salad. I put the quotes around tabbouleh since it's not, technigcally speaking, tabbouleh. It's a lot like tabbouleh, lol.
I am making sure that I no longer make myself and the people around me miserable because I want to indulge and, in effect, make myself sick. I know I can aspire to better health. Turns out, I'm sensitive enough to the almond breeze that it does bother me a little. However, I am not beating myself up over anything. That won't solve any problems.
I'm reading a book about foods that heal inflammation, some of the stuff I know is hokum (Oils heal! You need probiotics!) Yeah, right. But I'll be interested to see what it suggests for a diet.
So I'm going to drink some green tea while it's -10C and read my book! Be well everyone!
p.s. TWO bunches of kale in the fridge! One wasn't enough.
