My grocery store makes these "Pop Cakes" fresh in the store. I had seen them previously but ignored them because I thought they would taste like styrofoam. I bought some yesterday and think they're great; very crunchy with a great corn taste.

But as a newbie I'm not sure if they're 100% "McDougall friendly."

These are the ingredients: Wheat Flour, Rice Flour, Corn Flour, Water, Sea Salt, Olive Oil (As processing aid, 0.2%) Contains Gluten

The only thing that registers on the nutritional info is 1% Total Carbohydrate.

These things are delicious and I could eat a lot, so wanted to get some feedback on them.

Thanks!

Oil is not reccomended. Just a little can really increase the amount of calories.

Jeff has a few comments on his forum about olive oil, here's one:

Here we try to eat more whole foods, how about a roasted sweet potato? It will fill you up and you can eat all you want!

Besides the oil, also keep in mind that when we do eat flour products, it's recommended that we eat as close to the whole grain as possible. Things that are called "wheat flour" and "corn flour" are highly processed and refined foods and as such are something to be avoided. And their addictiveness is one of the reasons why! It is more satisfying and filling to eat whole grains rather than flour products.
