I'm following Dr. Esseltyns no dairy no oil diet.

Is coconut oil considered an oil in this case?

Is the milk considered dairy?

tks

Yes, coconut oil is oil. Coconut milk is not dairy, but it is a high fat product so it is not recommended.

Stay far away from coconut oil & milk!
If you are looking for a milk sub, try low fat soy, almond, rice or oat milk.
You can also make your own. There are tons of recipes on the web.

You can use a bit of coconut extract in non-dairy milk, if you want a low-fat substitute for coconut milk in recipes.

Anyone know where coconut water stands nutritionally. I'm not talking about the packaged stuff but the stuff that you gratefully slurp through a straw when a man picks up a coconut and slices the top off with a few deft strokes with a ridiculously large machete and hands it to you with a smile as you stand sweating and exhausted in whichever boiling part of India (or other equally great place) you happen to be visiting???

Ah those were the days 8)

Many years ago I ate fresh coconut wedges with salsa on top when travelling around Mexico. Very tasty!
