Your whole weigh in this week counts. You had a gain of .6 last week which I deducted from the weekly total before adding the weekly total to the YTD. So all 2.2lbs count.

Wow everyone is doing so well! even when I'm doing really well I never lose a few pounds in 1 week. How do you do it??
i stayed the same, no weight loss but maintained 122 lbs. I had a really tough week,my student load tripled this week, it's usually intense when the snowbirds arrive. Love teaching art but have to get used to the increased numbers. A 3 day sinus headache didn't help. Maybe the bran muffin didn't really help either for weight loss!! Lol, better next week , I did 1/2 hour aerobics this morning now that my headache is gone... Anyways next week I'll really try to be on track.Dlee
5'2'' 6o yrs old -Goal weight somewhere under 120 maybe 115.

Thanks. No real secret. Per Dr. McDougall's instructions, just following his regular plan nets about a 3.5 lb loss each week and the MWL nets about 4.5 lb loss each week. To that I add a couple long walks and about 2 hours in the gym and the weight just comes off. I'm actually a little disappointed and plan and adding another gym session to the schedule.

My health was fine, just high cholesterol and about 100 lbs. overweight which I carried well for the most part. Never looked fat so much as like a big bear. I was just a phone call away from opting for a Gastric Bypass when I came across Dr. Esselstyn's book and then several of Dr. McDougall's books. I've long been an autodidact and proceeded to read all of the literature, studies, and what not.
The rest was just more or less following the instructions and guidelines. For the past 10 years I've raised most of my own food, now I just concentrate on raising more vegetables than beef, chickens and pigs. Which is different since the vegetables I enjoy eating are few and far between.

I gained weight following a motorcycle accident which broke my back in two places. I was riding my bike on a mountain rd.... instead of going into the mountain I went over the cliff and 150 ft. out and 150 ft. down at the same time. Soon after came the deaths of my son, mother and sister within a few months of each other. I never ate that much but what I ate stayed with me as I was less active and depressed. I had long been an ethical rancher/farmer and had been wanting to cease eating meat for some time. This provided the impetus to do that.

Cholesterol is now 146 and I'm back to running and playing tennis and basketball again. Once I hit 195 I'll reevaluate and see where I am. My weight after leaving the army when I was 20 was 175 and I was skinny as a rail. I lifted weights for years and it will be interesting to see where I am when I hit 195.

I'm retired for the most part which gives me a lot of time to lose weight. The first two weeks were the most difficult for me, now it is easy and the more weight I lose the more motivated to lose more I become.

Good morning everyone! Down 3.4 pounds this week and I'm really pleased since this was my first week on MWL. The learning curve was a bit steep but our fridge is full of sweet potatoes and baked potatoes now and it's getting easier every day.

Edit: went to adjust my ticker only to find not only did I not lose I actually gained .4!!!! Double :angry: I worked hard this week and to have a gain is very discouraging!

2nd edit: I just looked and my TOM is supposed to be here in 2 days, so maybe that is it? I sure am moody and I've been feeling a little crampy today, which prompted me to look.

Didn't do so well this week. Too much less than perfect food. So I gave back the 1.2 lost from last week and am at 191.4 again. Don't know if I'll change my ticker or not this week. I did sign up at a gym the other day (one of the bennies from the medicare advantage plan I signed up for.) I'm hoping to go there 3 or more times a week.

Please remember, all gains are deducted from the weekly total. (yes I keep putting reminders, but its still new so I dont want people to forget ;-) ) So every week your weigh in counts, even if you have lost the same 1 pound, it gets deducted then counted and so on. Hopefully that didnt confuse you guys. :lol: :duh:
