Late reply but I lost 14 lbs and I'm at 270 from 284 and the week before that at 296... which is when I began...

Looking for an avg. loss of 5-10 lbs. a week to reach 195 at 6'2'' large frame. Should be finished in time for my 58th birthday on 3-28-2012...

Started by reading Dr. Esselstyn and then most of Dr. McDougal's books. Easy breezy so far.

Great program...

Hi All!

I haven't been posting lately, and I did creep up until I was almost up to 200, but have only cheated occasionally. Anyway I've been doing better the last month or so and figured I ought to get back into the weigh-ins. I'd have probably done it last week if I'd kept up and knew the rules had changed. Anyway I'll check and see if I had my wife write down a weight around new-years. Today I'm 190.6 which is only 1 pound up from my lowest. See you all Friday.

I forgot to come and enter my weigh-in results yesterday. I was up again -- up a total of 6 lbs. in December. :cry: This past week I was at the gym 4 days and my eating has been much better since DD went back to college and the junk food is out of the house. 60 lbs. lost in 2011 -- looking to lose another 60 in 2012!!

Have been lurking about for a while....

Can I join in? I weighed myself this morning and its 265.5.

Will weigh again on Friday and post my weight loss.

Fingers crossed.

I am going to do this a day at a time.

I have really been inspired by what I have read.

I started the McDougall Plan on 1/1/2012 again. I weighed 238 lbs and my goal weight is 130. I have been on the plan 7 days, I weighed myself on 1/8/2012 and I lost 4 lbs. Looking forward to reaching my goal and getting healthier.

I'm new to this board and would like to join the weigh in. Someone referred me to Dr. McDougall's website for recipes when I was having a hard time finding recipes for the Rice Diet. The MWL program sounded easier to do than the Rice Diet, so here I am. :)

1-3-2012 286 (Starting weight)

1-7-2012 280 (first week weigh-in)

Hi Debbie & everyone:

I was on MT's Holiday Excursion with quite a few of you and want to join on this as well. It really helps to do these weighins and keep in touch with you all in the process.

The poster you posted was perfect for our kick off and thanks so much for continuing to do this for all of us! I really appreciate all you do - it's such a help to all of us. So Debbie take a minute and feel deeply appreciated :)

I am sorry I couldn't post in the first weigh in, my email, then computer crashed and my phone is trying to too. Great 2012 so far :lol:

My January 6 th weight was 210.5. Or do you want me to start with this Friday's weigh in?

I lost 2lbs this week. :-D

I have changed up my vegetables from the more starchy kind such as carrots, corn and peas to brussel sprouts and cabbage (which I love) and I have been faithfully exercising at least 35/40 minutes a day. I think this really helped. I usually loose about a pound or half pound a week which I am not complaining about at all but 2lbs is a nice surprise especially since today is my birthday. A 2lb weightloss is better than any piece of cake could ever be!! I hope everyone has a nice weekend.
