The best book to start would be what Blondie called the 12-day book, real title "The McDougall Program - 12 Days to Dynamic Health. Here's the Amazon page for it,
but the cover I know is the last of the pictures under the book. You can also read about it here on the McDougall site in the store.
The book gives all the basics of the program and includes loads of recipes to get you started. Of course, the McDougall web site itself
also has this info and lots more recipes.
And you can always buy *more* of the books later. Either new or used, at places like Half.com and Amazon and other booksellers, sometimes for as low as 75 cents plus shipping.
