If you are like me, you may have been frustrated trying to find a completely gluten-free fat-free plant based cookbook. Finally someone has written a plant-based low fat gluten-free cookbook!
I can't wait until this book comes out in December. I have been reading Julieanna Hever's book called Plant-Based Nutrition (see my review in my blog at the address in my signature below) and now she has written another book for those of us who need a gluten-free vegan book.

Are you sure it's fat free? On her YouTube show, The Chef & The Dietician, she's a fan of adding nuts and seeds to recipes. Hopefully any added fat will be able to be substituted with another ingredient. :)

I am hoping her Gluten-Free Vegan book is fat-free. I have seen some of her videos where she used coconut. However I checked her book entitled "Plant-Based Nutrition" from the library and she talks about how we shouldn't use oils. As far as her book is concerned, hopefully my library will have it and I can check it out. If I like it, I may buy it.

As a contributor to Julieanna's awesome book and her partner in the Chef and The Dietitian, I can tell you that both her book and my book UNPROCESSED are gluten-free, but neither are fat free. While both are oil free, we both use whole food fats like nuts, seeds and avocado. You can see both of us in person, as well as Dr. T. Colin Campbell at www.HealthyTasteofLA.com.

Love & Kale,
Chef AJ

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. :-D

I love your videos. Dr. McDougall doesn't outright ban nuts and avocados as you probably know except on the Maximum Weight Loss plan. I am looking forward to the new Gluten-Free Vegan book and will also check out your book, Unprocessed.

Thanks. About half of the recipes in UNPROCESSED are McDougall perfect without nuts or seeds or avocado. It is available on Amazon and www.EatUnprocessed.com

I bought Chef AJ's book and met her when she was here in Portland. It's got some really good recipes in it. I have tried a few of them but plan on trying more of them soon.

I just checked and it's also available at Barnes & Noble. That's where I shop cause it's just down the road from me. I LOVE to cook and I love cookbooks as you can see from my blog. I am now in the process of collecting healthy eating cookboooks, so your book will be a welcome addition to my library. :D

Chef AJ's book is fantastic, not only as far as the recipes, but because she tells the story of how she got to becoming a chef. Great lady! Worth a read.
