Ok kind of late but I thought I would check in.

Did good on food even though I have birthday lunch out with my peeps from work. We ended up at a local mexican resturant which is good cause they make it like I like it. I had 2 veggie tacos no cheese on corn tortillas with boiled beans. Yum

Wasnt hungry rest of day. Ended up at Wallie world with hubby getting dog food and a few groceries.

Good day and it wasn't even my birthday.

 :D

Well that was nice RAS thanks!

My husband took me out to a Vegan restrurant. :D I had steamed bok choy with teryaki seitan and rice. I expected it to be oily but it was not at all. I loved it. Hubby had stirfry veggies on thin rice pasta. It tasted good too. The prices were reasonable too. A very happy surprise. The only true surprise is I'm glad we didn't wait until my birthday because they are closing for the month of August. They won't be open again until September 1.

We had a nice weekend. :-)

well well

I've had my birthday and no cake I made a fresh fruit cobbler I found on Happy Herbivore's blog. She has so many things I would love to try. I"m not sure why I didn't buy the ingredience I think I sabotage myself.

Last night I made a really nice comfort food. Mixed veggies with fake chicken (for hubby) over brown rice. It tasted fabulous. I'm having leftovers for break. :-)

I got my new bras I ordered for my birthday. They are not really what I expected. But I will get used to them. :P

Trying to be compliant with what I eat. Making the right choses.

  :D

here I am.

I watched the CNN show with Esselstyn. I'm really having a problem with not eatting junk food.

I do fine with the no animal, dairy, oil in general I eat oatmeal and sprout bread. But living with a SAD eatter who feels deprived all the time. He is constantly talking about what he doesn't get.

He eats what I eat and most of the time does not complain but it is hard to not feel lazy tired and worn out and then not be compliant.

I want to but then again its the lazy tired feeling. I eat a bag a chips. I have tried to ban them from the house but it doesn't work.

I have run out of ideas and about to give up :crybaby:

:(

ok well after the woe as me yesterday.

I decided to take one meal at a time I saw a link on how to order when eatting out. I really need that today cause its my husband's birthday and he decided to have everyone go to Hometown buffet cause he has coupons.

I have to make good choices. Salad veggies we will see.

only thing there I have a hard time leaving a lone is the mashed potatoes. I know I should leave them alone because they make them with milk and butter but brain says go get some potatoes.

Thanks for stopping by Rosey. Ya mash potatoes are my down fall too and everything else.

I was watching the Last Heart attack on CNN and was really impressed with the lady that was interview that had the heart attack. She eats out and makes good choices so I can too.

Its funny my step daughter always made fun of the way we eat now she is having gall bladder problems and her doctor has been working with her to stop smoking and eatting high fat pork and beef. Now she asks how to cook with out fat. Very interesting...

Oh well I have a weekend away visiting my niece she really needs intervention with her diet and I have to commend her for cutting out beef but I think she still eats pork. I wish I could be a better example by at least loosing a few pounds so people will notice I have made a change.

:-o :-)

Yeah I've been learning how to eat healthy in places too. Some of the places are hard to do that in.

Sorry to hear about your step daughters gal bladder but we all learn on our own time and don't really listen till we are ready too. Bad thing about almost all of us.

well its Saturday morning. We left yesterday after work to come up and visit my niece in Sacramento. We went to Golden Corral not my first choice but I had corn on the cob, asparagus, baked potato with mustard, green beans, carrots, bread and 2 fried zucchini and 3 fried mushrooms, more asparagus. No dessert the potato filled me up.

This morning I had steamed potato with corn and onion double fiber whole wheat toast with cranberry spread.

Not sure about lunch, we are making black bean burger from Engine 2 recipe. YUM

I've been talking to my niece about cutting out fat, meat, dairy she is severly diabetic. Blood sugar tests out the roof. She needs to get things in order. I think I have convinced her about the oil. Working on meat cause her dietitian has her brain washed about the need of protein.

I know I was away to long but I have great news. I talked to my niece about her issues and I told her that I think oil is her major problem. So she has agreed to stop using her oil and cut out beef and pork. I told her to eat more whole grains, beans and legumes. We only had the weekend with her but by the end of the weekend her blood sugar was down to 265 it was well over 300 when we started on Friday night. She asked about exercise I said don't worry about it just concentrate on the eatting maybe walk around her house or yard. Do some yard work.

I'm hoping she drops some pounds before we all go to Hawaii in November.

It has inspired me to be more diligent on what I eat too. did really well this week I'm down to 208.5 was at 212 last week

here we go!!

how come there is not good Monday songs.

Today I start againg. I did really well on the weekend the only outside good was a veggie burrito no cheese, no sour cream. It was very tastie. One of my favorites.

I started off with cereal today I really don't want to go to work. We are having people in and they asked us to dress a little nicer in business attair. I realy don't like pantyhose but my tan on my legs is uneven.

I made the Festival Dal over the weekend for quick meals this week I also make mushroon burgers but the fell apart. I like the black bean ones from the engine 2 book best.

I make some pumpkin bread and muffins I will need to freeze it so it doesn't become moldy

:D :-D
