So last year all I did was drown the stink bugs in soapy water. This is also what I did with the harlequin bugs. Has anyone heard of any other method than hand picking them off?

I'm looking!!!

I found a ton of them hidden in something I'd left on my porch. I just put about 15 in a container. I need to go after them in a big way.

So far all of ours has been inside. I heard on the local news that they hid out for the winter inside and are now awakening or maybe it's their offspring hatching that we are seeing. So I've been catching them inside which is easier than trying to find them on plants.

They are fairly big and flat and the shell on the back of them looks hard. They are slow moving but can fly and they like light so usually they are at my light fixtures or ceiling. :(

yep that is them. Ugly little devils. I am finding at least one a day in the house. I guess they snoozed during the winter and are now waking up - probably hungry for the garden. They've been getting a whirlpool death.

No, we don't have them in our area. First time I've seen a pic of them. Thanks for posting the URL StarchBeet.

But I have to deal with earwigs. One year they were so bad I hired an exterminator to go around the house and spray them. I didn't like doing this but felt I had no choice. We've not had a problem since. Our house is pretty tight but those critters were somehow getting inside.

Anyone have trouble with ants getting in the house? We could not get rid of them either and finally had to resort to a spray to get rid of them. My husband sprayed them from the outside of the house and no problem since! But I hate using that stuff.

oh yes, I killed an earwing last night too. I get them inside, once and away, but in the garden they are a huge pest.

I get baby ants in the spring, but they always leave within a couple weeks.
