A group of us have a casual book club. This time it was The Help, by Kathryn Stockett. One of the characters has a prayer book. Not the usual book, with pre written prayers. No she has a book where she writes down those she is praying for, and her thoughts.
This was in the 60's and she is a black maid with little education. But by writing each evening she really touches the spirit.
I am thinking I should do the same thing. So I can be more focused upon my prayers.

In my daily God Time, I usually read some Scripture or other spiritual book (Like right now "Answers to Prayer" by George Mueller) and I journal what the Lord is showing me from my reading, then ask Him how it applies to my current life...and then pray. I often write down the prayers.

Usually not intercessions, though. But it's a good idea, a date, who you prayed for and what. Then you have a record, as He answers your prayers you can see His working in the world.

Oh, Buns, I do like that plan. I find I need to write as well as think. Even if I never re read it. And actually , I usually do end up re reading things.
Also I often find comfort when I find little pieces of paper my mom made spiritual notes on. She left them in books. I find them once in a while. Love it.
