thanks HealthE1...I have to work on a few things yet! A few vices that I am not proud of. Have a plan for the first one, the second one is a challenge with the party atmosphere where we live!

Gotcha, Nancy, on the party atmoshphere. All my family and friends know to do with themselves is go out to eat and have one celebration or another. Never do they go to a place that's easy for me to make healthy choices. I also am aware that sometimes I'm happy to have an excuse to have a 'feast day'. But also happy to report they are getting fewer and farther between now.

I understand...I stay away from the organized potlucks for the most part. I used to make something and purposely come in late so everyone already had their food. One time I made veggie lasagna in the solar oven and stood there and took mine first, then everyone made a beeline for the table and there was none left! This past weekend I made a large bowl of potato salad (one of Mary's recipes) and I thought I would have a lot to bring home...NOT! One little container left. The main things I have to avoid are the happy hours unless they have a veggie or fruit plate. And on weekends people here start drinking at 10 in the morning...yuck! That's one of my vices, I like a cold beer! but late in the afternoon! Trying to drink more water or water with lime in it!

Kudos to both of us. Looks like we both have come a long way from the beginning of our journies.

I'm going to the Healthy Lifestyle Expos this week. Can't wait to see Dr. McDougall, Jeff, and all the other great inspirational experts!

i would love to attend these..I have all the dvds since 2003 from them so I guess I will wait and order them again this year!

You attended the McDougall 3-day this year which is my dream for the coming year.

Nope! Need one of my grandsons to find time to come show me how to do it.

Actually what you need to do is upload them to a photo service (I use Flickr) It's free for up to 200 photos. Then you grab the html/bbc code from the photo which is under the share it link but now it's a pain in the butt since Flickr has changed it's coding but you put it on with the [img]whateverphoto[/img] There are a lot of photo sites out there, just not familiar with some of the other ones...

Thanks, Nancy. Do they have to be from a cell phone? (See how much I know?) Actually, one of my grandsons gave me a hook-up thingy for my Vivitar camera many moons ago. Guess one day I'll figure it out myself.

no...can be uploaded by cell phone or computer to a photo sharing service. You just have to find which free one you like! I use the paid version of Flickr to back up my computer photos so I don't lose them!

Nancy, I am sure there were lots of factors in Fl. I mean just the level of worry about your daughter and grandson was enough to raise the old bp.
I know you must be so frustrated by the fact that you have come so far in from your unhealthy days, and you would think she would want to join you.
Unfortunately it does not seem to work that way.
My dear DiL is so over weight. Has so many health problems. Is always looking for the newest supplement to fix things. This with a family history of heart problems, ms, on and on.
