I posted yesterday's meals today. Here are today's meals.

Thank you Sksamboots! Today was beautiful, lots of rain and fog. I LOVE rain and fog! I really mean that! I went out to a party today, and ate a minmal amount of off-plan foods, but I paid for it with Mcdougal's revenge and gluten contamination.

Day 19:

Breakfast: FF hashborwns w/ ketchup
Snack: Cherries and a peach
Lunch: Rice and beans w/ veggies
Snack: Some off-McD things I won't mention. A couple of tortilla chips and hummus.
Dinner: Rice and beans w/ hummus
Exercise: None

Have a great day everyone!

Day 20: So far in this challenge I haven't been 100%, like today I made cupcakes for my friend's birthday and I licked some icing. I licked a lot of icing. Oh well. Like Sksamboots said, the next time I will chooce McDougall food! Nice thing is, however, eating off-diet for me doesn't get me stuck in a VAD fenzy and eating lots of fats, the other way around, the more unhealthy I eat, the more I wish for rice and beans! It is true though, keep yourself full on McDougall food and you won't have cravings for junk food  I think it would be nice, if I started sharing my recipe, so you know that it is not boring at least ha ha ha!

Breakfast: FF hashbrowns w/ ketchup
Snack: Mary's organic crackers
Lunch: Rice and beans
Snack: Cherries
Dinner: Rice and beans
Dessert: Blood orange sorbet
Drinks: Water and 1 tea w/ honey
Exercise: None

I'm going to start posting drinks again, as I have started to cut WAY back on the sugary teas I have, I am quite proud of myself, and I haven't had coffee in about 2 weeks! I need to get back into my exercise routine though, I was being too strict, "because I didn't get up and do yoga I didn't go to the gym" it feels funny to go to the gym without doing yoga before. I love strength training though, I think I will start doing that more.

Tonight's rice and beans:

Throw in a big pot:
1 1/4c. brown rice, 3/4 cup dried lentils, 2 cloves garlic chopped, 1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped, about 3 cups of kale chopped (of course!), 2 cups of nappa cabbage, chopped, 2 carrots shopped, 1 1/2c. cilantro, steams and all, chopped, 1 can of salt-free diced tomatoes plus 1 canful of water (maybe a little more). Heat and cook for about 40 minutes. Add 2 cups of chopped cauliflour and 1 chopped zucchini. Cook until cauliflour is "al dente" (I know that this is a term for pasta, I feel it applies here), and lime juice to taste.

Have a great day everyone!

Day 21: I realise that so far in this journey, I have failed. Well, I don't feel like a failure, I have been McDougalling pretty much 90% for several weeks now, which is a HUGE improvement from before (going a week and giving up), I am already starting to notice benefits, and that's not being 100%! Imagine what I would do if I stuck with 100%?! Today, I brought my friend her cupcakes for her birthday and I ate 1, only 1. However, from here on I will be 100%. he only exception, please, will be my vegetarian group. Which is monthly, and I plan to not eat very much when I do go (honest, not since McDougalling). When I go off-plan, I really feel it the next day!

Breakfast: Rice and beans
Snack: Mary's organic crackers and a peach
Lunch:1 pickled hot pepper, Rice and beans
Snack: Creme Brulee tea w/ agave and rice milk
Dinner: Cupcake
Exercise: 45 minutes strength training, 45 minutes on the treadmill

I knew I had failed this the first time I cheated, but instead of giving up I went on ahead, which is a big deal for me. I usually give up. Thanks to everyone for thier support!

Have a great day!

Day 22:

I did it. I did a dobule circuit of strength training at the gym, which is a big deal for me, it means my body is getting stronger and I have the energy to do that now! (Well, that is obvious, but I was still very happy about this) At first, I almost didn't go to the gym, but I went anyways, and I was happy I did! Hopefully, better health (both mental and physical) will soon follow! Again, I recieved a fail for this challenege today, and I am dissapointed. However, there are no more gluten-free treats to tempt me here anymore! I now feel energized, and ready to do a 30-day challenge, properly!

Brunch: Lemon roasted potatoes, 1 tomato
Snack: Rooibos chai tea w/agave and rice milk, fruity tea w/ honey
Dinner: More potatoes, a peach
Lots of water to drink
Exercise: 1 hour and 10 minutes of exercise! Yay!

Have a great day everyone!

You are doing very well! One hundred percent is the goal, but every day you see to be getting better. That's what matters the most.

Congrats on your accomplishments in the gym!!! Your body will thank you!

Debbie and Proverbs31woman, thanks for stopping by and giving me encouragement! It means so much to me!

Day 23: Today was a good day food and exercise wise. I got up at 6am with left than 7 hours of sleep, and I kept telling myself I wouldn't be able to squeeze in some gym time, I even reset my alarm for later, thinking that I was too tired. Then I found myself just getting up. I wasn't hungry, so I just ate a peach. At least there was something in my stomach. I went to the gym, 1 round of weight training, and 45 minutes on the treadmill. I did it. I made it home in time to take a shower, eat some breakfast, and go to my appointment. Whew!

It has been hard for me this past week, I am too anxious about leaving the house. I keep getting so depressed I find myself doing what I can to talk myself into doing things. I know I need to get out there and live my life, but it is so hard for me to deal with these feelings. My OCD is really bad too.I am hoping that it will all get better in time.

Breakfast: Peach
Snack: Rice and beans w/ veggies, tea w/ agave and rice milk
Lunch: Rice and beans w/ veggies
Snack: Mary's organic crackers, tea w/ agave and rice milk, and some tea w/ honey
Dinner: Lemon roasted potatoes
Lots of ater to drink
Exercise: 1 round of strength training, 45 minutes on the treadmill

Day 24: I've been getting a preview from my sister with the cold I'm going to get. Not looking forward to it, I hope I can still exercise while I have it!
No exercise today, I just couldn't rise to the occasion. I think I'll try some GF cereal for breakfast in the morning. Then again, I can cook up some rice and make it sweet.

Breakfast: Lemon roasted potatoes
Snack: Mary's organic crackers
Lunch: Pasta with a quick tomato sauce I threw together, so good!
Snack: chai tea w/ agave and rice milk, fruity tea w/ honey, lemon tea w/ honey
Exercise: None

Hi loveskale

Dropping by to say hello to everyone while I eat brekkie. I hope your OCD will decrease. It's not a fun illness to live with. May the more complete and healthy nutrition that you are enjoying with McDougall, prove to be healing to your body INCLUDING brain chemistry!

keep on going!

Thank you to Buns and Boots for dropping by! I am still having battles with myself, I always challenge my thoughts, like what I learned to do as a teenager, and that whatever I think will happen if I don't do whatever, isn't going to happen! But it is very hard. I've caught my sister's cold, but it is nowhere as bad as hers is (at least not yet) I think the diet and exercise is helping.

Day 25:

I can't get over how much healthier I look already. My confidence is already starting to grow. I am starting to feel good about myself, and feeling good in my own body. Something I haven't felt in years.

Breakfast: FF hashbrowns w/ ketchup
Snack: Cherries, plums
Lunch: Rice and beans w/ veggies
Snack: cherries, plums, blueberries
Dinner: Coriander beet cakes, pomegranite glazed eggplant, red lentil sambar and steamed corn (without butter!)
Exercise: 1 hour and 15 minutes of weight lifting

Let's hope I get it through this night okay. Have a great evening everyone!

Dinner sounded interesting and lovely Loveskale! Looks like you are on track and already seeing results. I work with children and have been sick only once this entire year (since beginning McDougalling). Yeah fruits and veggies!!

take care

Debbie, I do have a recipe for lemon roasted potatoes, but I will have to post it later.

I caught my Sistr's cold, an it is terrible. I have been laying down eating nothing but mashd potatoes (mashed w/ vegetable stock), some Mary's Organic crackers, and all the hot tea I can drink.

Day 26:
Breakfast: Beetcake w/ FF hashbrowns w/ ketchup
Snack: Cherries and plums
Lunch: Beet cake w/ sambar
Snack: Eggplant
Dinner: Raw nachos and cheese, raw beet ravioli, raw brushette, raw cheesecake, raw chocolate smoothie All McDougall friendly, technically, but a lot of fat from all the nuts, surprisingly delicious!
Exercise: 40 minutes strength training, 30 minutes on the treadmill. I had to cut it short because I fell off

Day 27, 28, &29:
All I've eaten is, as I just said, mashed potatoes, Mary's organic crackers, and all the tea I can drink. The most exercise I've gotten is getting up to get more tea.

Hopefully I will be able to get out tomorrow.

Have a great day everyone, and I hope you don't catch my cold :)
