I love my Wii Fit. I got it for CHristmas and it is a blast to work out with. I notice improvements already. I love the Yoga. Some of the strength training is really hard!

The first time I used the Wii it was the Wii Sports. I am useless at tennis and baseball and bowling...it told me I was 80! akkk....now I vary between 39 at the lowest and 50....I am 58 but have riden all my life and still ride and walk dog daily so I am relatively fit but need to become more supple and loose weight. :-D

Well still having fun with my Wii Fit. I upgraded to Wii Fit Plus and it has added some new excersises. I still love it and do the excersises every day even if I can't actually use the machine.

But yesterday when I put in the Plus I did the body test and mind test, really messed up and ended up with a Wii Fit age of 67. :( oops

But apart from that I did the island run and the other day did the 10 minute free workout on the board.

It is well worth the money.

I like using wiifit, but today it actually gave me some spiel about meat helping you lose weight. Freaky really. It's not as smart as I thought.

FWIW, I'd like to add my praise for the Wii Fit. I got it accidentally for Christmas--we got it for my daughter who was up from Chicago, but it was too heavy to put in her suitcase, so I gave her $100 to get one down there, and gave myself hers!

I have to say, I hate exercise. The only kind I have ever liked is dance, but I was never a dancer, and I don't like any kind of exercise that makes you get in your car and drive for half an hour, and then pay hundreds of dollars for--so yoga, dance, and gym memberships are not for me.

We already had the Wii--for my husband, who never uses it! It tried the golf and bowling and hated them--I'm terrible at them in real life, too.

But, on January 1, I got on that Fit board, so feeble that I could hardly move. My legs hurt, my balance was terrible, and I was so full and fat I could hardly move. The exercises all last only 2 to 5 minutes, and you get a natural rest of 30 to 60 seconds while you choose the next one. I can do an exercise for 5 minutes, knowing that I can quit or switch if I want to when it's done!

So I have exercised daily for the last 123 days, missing only 8 times, for about 10 to 30 minutes per day. When I read what some of you are doing for exercise, I know what I'm doing is pitifully small, but it's good for me. I have NEVER done any exercise program for this long before! I love my Wii Fit!

How are you guys all doing?

I have heard lots of praise for the Wii Fit. You know exercise is all about finding what you like to do.

Also don't discount that you are getting in 'only' 10-30 minutes a day. Look at your committment and consistency. That is fantastic.

I decided to walk as my main exercise. I never could find time. So I set a day to start. I decided 6:00 would be walk time. It was the most consistent hour I was home from work. I wanted no excuses for doing my daily walk. To help to get it into the routine, for two weeks I walked at 6pm for five minutes. That's it, just 5 minutes. Then I added five minutes. I slowly carved out the time in the evening for my walks. It didn't take long for me to work up to 45 minutes. Now if I have to work late or something at 6pm hits it hits me, I should be exercising. I have it so ingrained inside.

Faith, I really appreciate the support! I'm touched. I knew I needed something I could do indoors, all year long--nine moths of the year it is hard to walk outside here.

That sneaky way of getting your walking in is a good idea, too! Good for you!

LOL yeah I guess you do have to find something that is more inside.

The way I look at how I set myself up to walk, all that time I did nothing but feel guilty because I knew I should be exercising. When I was starting out and thinking this is stupid, it's only five minutes, let's blow it off. I'd turn it around on myself, hey it's only five minutes do it. It's better than the nothing you were doing. So there was always a positive argument with myself. I can be tough to argue with.

I thought the exercises were too simple at first, but then I was dumbfounded when they were more efective then weight training at the gym! Especially if you keep it simple, it can be a lot of fun!

That's good to know Carroll. My Mom has been talking about it, but she isn't very gadget oriented.

Carroll, what is P90? Is it a Wii Fit game, or just a Wii game? I have been using the Wii Fit since January, and I'm always looking for new ways to use it. (Although, right now, it's sidelined because we're going to paint and carpet the room it was in!)

So glad I happened on this thread - it inspired me to get out the Wii Fit Plus and hula hoop, run and stumble through the step class. I played a wonderful fitness game for Wii by Konami all during our too-hot-to-even-think-about-a-walk summer called Walk it Out. You walk in place to different tunes and click on "island building" objects that you then have to walk enough steps to purchase. I was worried about the music (being a bit of a snob ;-) ) but it is unoffensive and you can block any tunes that you absolutely hate. I recommend this game. The cover makes it look like it is pretty child-oriented but...not so much. Lots of reviews on Amazon also.
