I say THANK YOU, too!

I guess us global warming folks don't like to hear the other side of the argument. What are we afraid of? I say, bring it on!

Well, I say, go over to some denier boards somewhere and indulge in all the worthless pages of cut-and-paste spam your eyes and digestion can handle!

Wheeeeee.

There's nothing wrong with argument, debate and disagreement--that's how progress is made, after all. But there IS something wrong with presenting LIES and FALSEHOODS as if they were equivalent to facts.

The media has fallen into the bad habit of taking the two opposites of any position as having equal value. This is very, very misleading. When one 'side' is filled with the preponderance of evidence and knowledge, and the other 'side' is just screaming denial with no actual basis, then they aren't equivalent. After a certain point, you can't 'argue' with people who deny the fundamental precepts of reality. It's just shrieking, not rational.

Within the problem of global warming itself, there are plenty of reasonable concerns to disagree about in a rational manner. Nothing wrong with that--that's the nature of science.
