Happy Monday!
How was everyone's weekend with the Core Challange?
I managed to do it Saturday but skipped Sunday. I'm having a hard time doing the full minute on the jumping out during the plank and the mountain climbers too. I'm going to stick with it until I can.

I completed the first week. I think I'm going to repeat it because I still can't hold the planks for a full minute - I can usually do 30 seconds and then the rest on my knees. And I'm only able to do the side plank 'hip lifts' from my knees rather than my feet. Everything else I can do, even if I do end up drenched in sweat.

I know I sweat so bad. For one thing I'm usually just getting back from my walk, but I do cool down a few minutes before jumping in. I'm still working on week two because my missing the time had me lag a bit.

One thing I've noticed, and I keep forgetting to measure, but folks at work keep saying that I'm losing more weight. I haven't lost that much more, but I think my waist is getting smaller or maybe the way I carry myself is better.

Ok, so I haven't been doing the WHOLE core challange but I have been doing a couple of the things each day. So I haven't failed THAT much! I don't know why I can't get myself to do the whole thing, it really does only take 10minutes.. lol. Oh well, its better than not doing anything! The pool finally opened at my gym and they're going to be offering adult lessons. I'm SUPER excited.. not really.. I've always hated swimming but I think its because I just never knew how to actually swim 'correctly'. So I'm looking into it and hopefully will be able to take a couple sessions.. ugh. lol

hope your core looks better in the swim suit.

Bambie don't worry. I've been having troubles also. I give myself kudos for doing something. BUT we know we aren't going to see the results we want without doing it all.

I am having trouble getting it all in before I'm wanted at home. So I think I'm going to try and break it down, half before the walk and half after. I have a feeling I'll make more progress too that way.

Keep us posted on the swimming. Tonight should be my water aerobics night, if it doesn't storm. I will get in the core before I go.

Faith, I'm only going to do it at 5am (which is right when it opens) if they do sessions that early. I wont be there when the whole world can see me! Its outside for now..

I've been making myself do the core exercises every day. If I slack off, I'll lose momentum and it's very hard to get that back! That said, I really do have to force myself sometimes. LOL

ok how are you all doing? I haven't done any since Friday. I do believe I can tell a difference also. That's bad. I'm trying to be aware and hold the posture, but that is it. I've had a lot of unexpected problems at home, so this slide off the radar big time.

I've been doing OK.. I haven't done the whole thing in a couple of weeks, I get bored/ansy wanting to go jog or take a class instead. So I just do a couple of the moves that I like lately. plank, Side raises, the one where you lift your hand and opposite leg and one of the back ones. Thats about it.
I hope you can get back on track soon Faith! Happy Birthday to us!

I took two days off to see if the plank exercises were contributing to my ankle pain. I don't know the answer to that, but I got back to the exercises yesterday. It's time to go do them right now for today.

Happy Birthday, girls.

Faith,
I'm not the typical young adult (obviously since I'm eating this way, lol) so today's plans are, hang out with my parents/sister/bf, play battmitten and EAT!! Thanks for the well wishes!

Glad to hear you are still doing them. I'd be surprised if they were hurting your ankles. Keep us posted.

When I started it was the arms and shoulders that hurt so bad.

Chile,
Way to keep your momentum going. Sometimes you just have to keep going even when you don't feel like it. Make sure you are paying attention to your body so you know the difference between overtraining and just not feeling like doing a workout. Keep it up!

Happy Belated Birthday Bambie! My birthday is coming up this Sunday. August seems like a good month to have been born. I hope you have a year filled with love, laughter and amazingly vibrant health. WoooHoo!
