Tip...
Do what you enjoy doing. That way you'll continue doing it.
Start slow and gradually progress. Take about 12 to 24 months to begin to get fit, then more slow progression for the following 2 years.
Do something you can do out the front door or very near to your home.
Don't do anything seen on TV or should I say, sold on TV.
Unless you have a pool, your main source of exercise will end up being either walking or cycling. Everything else won't provide what you need and the enjoyment to continue it.
Don't do anything you need a coach for on a continuing basis.
Coach? I haven't had a coach since high school track.
Well, I'm very opinionated about exercise. I've been exercising for 54 years all over the world and I just don't see the complication. We all know how to walk.
Equipment is minimal. Injuries are seldom serious.
Probably the best exercise for 90% of people here.
OK... have fun.....walk in interesting places...see your neighbors, see the plants, leave the ipod and radio and cell phone at home.. Calm your mind instead of filling it with noise. Listen to the birds and leaves rustling... don't step on ant trails, as it will ruin their whole week.
Walk walk walk.....30 minutes turns into 60 before you even notice it.
The best part of the day...
