Recently I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Regurgitation - Moderate to Severe. Can this diagnosis improve with this way of eating?

I see no one has answered. I googled Mitral valve prolapse and found a society for this. I thought the information was good without being to frightening. I believe this problem runs in my family if that is possible. I have a lot of the symptoms.

Thank you for bringing up the topic. One side of my family has always been said to have heart disease. I think that this valve problem is probably what they have been referring to. I have weird symptoms such as palpitations, the feeling like my heart is catching and the need to cough at times to get something going again. Now I understand better what is going on. I have been living with this since I was 24 and had no idea what it was. I am now 64 but still have only mild symptoms. I like that part where the video says we may outlive everyone else.

The McDougall diet is a wonderful eating plan and I think it can only help us with the symptoms. I do believe the caffeine, alcohol and sugar is a very big problem and causes my symptoms if I partake. I could never figure out why when wine is suppose to be so good for you it always made me feel lousy. I've been on this plan for about four years and only have great things to say about it and Dr. McDougall.
