Savoury Oats with Peas & CarrotsIngredients150g of Oats (I use steamed rolled)
560g of Water
1 large Carrot finely grated (100g)
150g of frozen Peas
Salt & Pepper to taste
I usually weigh my ingredients, but you could just follow the instructions on your oats package. I think roughly it's 1 cup of oats and 2 1/2 cups of water.
Put the oats and water into a pot and turn on the stove.
Then finely shred the carrot with a grater and add that in too.
Once it starts simmering, lower the heat
Add in the frozen peas.
Stir frequently throughout
When it reduces down to your preferred consistency, take it off from the heat and leave it covered for several minutes.
Serve and enjoy.
This is a good alternative to rice.
