So, I was in love with these potato flake products, but got concerned when more ingredients started appearing on the label...
My question to them;
I'm concerned about the nutritional label on your broccoli fries, the ingredients state diglycerides & canola oil yet 0 grams of fat are listed on the label. diglycerides are hydrogenated fats, what % of your product are they? These are not items I would feed a healthy adult or child.

Great questions below which I hope I can offer more clarity on!
For the Canola Oil:
We use a small amount of canola oil in our Veggie Wedgies as a processing aid to prevent sticking during the manufacturing process. The amount per serving is pretty small... hence the 0g of fat per serving.
For the Mono and Diglycerides:
The mono and diglycerides are found in our potato flakes and are used as a releasing agent when the potatoes are being drum dried. The mono and diglycerides make up 0.5% of the total flake, which is a very very small amount of this one ingredient. Also, the flakes we use are vegetarian.
Not sure if you are aware but the USDA put these types of mono and diglycerides (which are used in the drum drying of food) on their list of ingredients that can be used to make Organic labeled foods. Hope this helps! We do our best to create the best quality and healthiest products we can.

I am actually pretty impressed with her reply and it was super fast (within an hour). I don't think I'll buy them any more, but I'm going to eat the two bags I have left.

Notice the addition of canola oil & how some of the vitamins seem to disappear?
