Gramma jackie,
I've never done this before but have you ever tried grinding your own nuts to make a 'nut butter' type of peanut butter? This is what I've heard, you go to the whole foods place, get your nuts and then i'm assume it...blends them? grinds them? whatever you want to call it, I'm not too informed lol but i'm sure if you look into it you'll find more info :) Good luck!

Hi,

Yes I have done that before at my local health food store. The reason I was wanting to try the powdered peanut butter, however is because it is "de-fatted" during the deydration process making it less fat than even natural peanut butter.

I use PB2 and only as a seasoning otherwise I could binge on peanut butter. I'll add a teaspoon or 2 in my oatmeal or frozen banana

Cheers

I have some and use it for my peanut noodle recipe. It is a good sub for a recipe once in a while.

I, too, found a cheaper site...proteinplusflour.com
Ingredients are just roasted peanuts...same calorie count (110 per 1/4 c) as regular flour. I love using it instead of regular flour...especially in muffins w/mashed bananas!
