 Post subject: quinoa-bitter taste?

I read on the package to rinse it well before cooking, so I do. But the aftertaste is bitter. Is this just the way it tastes?

Scroll down to Preparation. Since your instructions say to rinse thoroughly, it seems likely they did not remove any of the saponins before packaging, and you may have to soak and rinse to get rid of them. (Or dump the package and find a different brand.)
